My partner and I got our first Dachshund in 1978 while living in Indiana.  Before long, we had standards in all three coats, but were most involved with longs.  We started showing with dogs from Boondox and Rose Farms lines. Later we incorporated some Moffett’s, Georgia Dachs, and others into our line. Our homebreds carried our kennel name, Bradauch.  Among our homebred dogs we had a BOS to Breed at a national, a couple of group winners, other group placers, and multiple champions.

By 1995 I was approved by AKC to judge Dachshunds. Later, I added Whippets.

In 1999 I resigned from judging when I went to work for the AKC in North Carolina.  Shortly thereafter I got my first Spinone Italiano.  With the birth of my first Spinone litter my kennel name became Spindachtr. 

In September, 2017, I retired.  Upon my retirement I got my approval back to judge Dachshunds and Whippets. I am now also approved for Spinoni.  In the twelve years I’ve actively judged, I have judged in about 20 states, doing 18 specialties including the host shows for DCA national three times, and a host show for the Spinone national once.

I am thrilled to be back in Florida again and to judge the Florida Gulf Coast Dachshund Club!
